Community Visiting Nurse Association was established in 1948 by a group of community-minded citizens who shared a vision of creating a home-based health care service for those in need in our community. It was their spirit of volunteerism that laid the foundation of who we are today.

Hospice Volunteers
Volunteering with hospice starts with a genuine desire to provide comfort, care and companionship to patients, caregivers and family as they go through the end of life journey. Volunteers have a tremendous impact on the lives of the patients they work with. Tasks can include conversation, reading, listening to music, watching a movie or simply holding a hand. Community Care Hospice provides a special orientation and training program for all volunteers so that they feel comfortable and fully prepared.

Office Volunteers
We welcome volunteers who desire to assist in a variety of office functions including filing, faxing, preparing packets and mailings, assisting with events and other assorted tasks. Scheduling is flexible and based on your availability.

Flu Clinic Volunteers
We always need volunteers to assist with setup, registration and crowd control at our seasonal flu clinics.
