Community Care Hospice Sponsors Bereavement Group
Community Care Hospice, an affiliate of Community Visiting Nurse Association, hosted a bereavement support group for adults this spring. Meetings were held at the Community VNA office building at 110 West End Ave, Somerville.
Entitled “A Journey Toward a New Day,” the program consisted of 6 weekly sessions for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one within the last year. Participants were encouraged to share their experiences, difficulties and strengths in a caring, compassionate and confidential atmosphere. Group facilitators were Angela Calogero, Bereavement Coordinator, and Hospice Chaplain, Reverend Frank Villerius. The sessions took place during March and April.
